PRarticle.com Press Release Submission Guidelines:

Submitting a press release to PRarticle.com is free of charge for any business worldwide, whether these publications may be; news to share with the public, updates, upgrades, or recent changes to their business.

We have adopted a couple of submission guidelines that all companies must follow. PRarticle.com (Smartads) reserves the right to change these submission guidelines at any time.

Created On: April 25, 2008

1.1 - Definition of a Press Release:

Press releases are bits of information which is news related, industry changes, market changes, changes within your business, or changes with the competitive market. These "bits" of information are pre-releases for editors to review and use at will.

Press releases are NOT - blatant advertising material with the sole purpose to promote your business. We will immediately reject any material submitted to us that has no purpose what so ever but to promote your existing business.

The Fine Line of Self-Promotion vs. News:

A press release will add valuable information about upcoming industry standards, changes, or mishaps. A self-promotional article will only discuss "I, me, we".

1.2 - I, me, we:

Companies that submit releases that use "I", "me", "we" is considered self-promotional. What you have to understand is that editors who look at your article will not reprint your news release if the person reading your news clip gets a feeling of being "pitched" on your business. On the other hand, if you offer a press release that is industry specific and plug in some paragraphs on how "your business expects to help create a new market for the industry" asserts Martin Lemieux, editors may take a second look at your information and possibly use it for their publication.

1.3 - Use the 3rd Person:

When adding information about your "industry", act as if YOU are the editor who is interviewing YOU. With this, it's imperative that you add information in the 3rd person, for example:

== RIGHT WAY ==

A press release is a good way to tell people about your business, the industry has increased in popularity over the years online, Martin explains.

== WRONG WAY ==

My company is the best way for people to submit press releases’, we are the best. I know our competition is pee*** their pants. Any company that doesn't submit to my business is stu***. Said Martin

1.3 - Web Site Links:

We understand the importance of showing people the new* areas of your business, in some cases it's also important to link to the different areas you have to offer within your web site. We do not want to see the same URL over and over again.

PRarticle.com Active Linking Policy:

We will NOT activate ANY web site links within the body of the press release. We WILL only activate a minimum of 1 unique web site URL within the "about the company section" with a maximum of 3 active links per press release. Re-occurring links will NOT be activated, for example:

http://www.PRarticle.com - activated
http://www.PRarticle.com (2) - not activated
http://www.prarticle.com/submit-press-release/ - activated

1.4 - Title of Your Press Release:

A never ending title is not allowed. PRarticle.com will cut out any text which exceeds 200 characters long. If you submit a title that is too long, we reserve the right to change your title to accommodate our system requirements. By the way, if an editor from a newspaper takes your press release for reprint, they may even change the title of your release all together, it won't matter anyways.

1.5 - Description:

Your description should immediate describe; who, what, where, when. The "where" & "when" will be added by PRarticle.com, do not add the date, or the location. Your location can be submitted at the bottom of the form which our system will automatically use for your description.

1.6 - Adding HTML to Your Press Release:

One thing you must remember, this web site is geared towards notifying the public and also to help editors to reprint your news within their own publications. HTML formatting is not necessary. Our members section has an additional WYSYWIG editor to help add small differences like; bolding, italics, active links, and bullet points. Any other HTML added to the article will automatically be deleted by our system. HTML tables, classes, images, headers, etc is automatically deleted.

We reserve the right to return your press release back to you as "pending" further revisions on your part. It is important for us to maintain high standards when adding your articles to for our visitors to view.

1.7 - Banned Content:

PRarticle.com will NOT reprint any content deemed unsafe for children, hate towards another person, hate towards another business, hate towards an organization, hacker tips, or anything related to pornography. We cannot stress this enough, companies who submit any of this type of information will be immediately deleted from our system.

1.8 - Special Formatting Tips:

Do Not Double Space:
For press releases sent to editors, you must always double-space your paragraphs, but for online publication, you should NEVER double-space your paragraphs.

Do Not Use Hard Breaks:
Using "hard returns" to format your text to a certain line limit (65 characters) is not tolerated for submission within our syndication directory. Our editors have to physically remove all the hard breaks within your article. In most cases, we will send a press release back to the originator for further revisions in order to remove the hard breaks from the article.

2.0 - PR Submission Managers:

Companies who submit press releases on the behalf of their clients must NOT promote themselves. Unlike our article directories, we will not tolerate self-promotion on behalf of the pr submission manager. If you wish to promote your services, please do so by submitting a "pr service" within our members section.

As a PR submission representative, you must agree to respect our submissions guidelines at all times, and to promote your clients press release with the intension to edit their press release if and when our editors return the article back to you as "pending" further editing.

PR submission managers have no rights to the press releases they submit on behalf of their clients. They agree to waive all rights to the distribution of the press release. Companies wishing to change their press release, or delete their press release submitted to us by a 3rd party have the right to do so. The originators of the press release have exclusive rights as to the future, or lack of it.

Companies wishing to "take over" their accounts which have been created, submitted, or promoted by a 3rd party source may do so by contacting us.
